It’s recreation and parks month in St. Catharines and It’s the perfect time to explore our beautiful parks, trails, and recreational facilities. Enjoy a picnic at Montebello park, hike the scenic trails of the Twelve Mile Creek, or participate in our community events and activities.
Take a respite from warmer weather by going public skating or taking a refreshing dip at St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. Cool off at one of our splash pads or enjoy a leisurely walk along our many trails. For sports enthusiasts, play a game of basketball at the new multi-use courts at Catherine Street Park or challenge yourself with a round of disc golf at Richard Pierpoint Park. You can also find tranquility by strolling through the labyrinth at Fairview Park.
Whether you're into sports, nature walks, or family fun days, there's something for everyone. Let's celebrate the outdoors and stay active together!

Stop by the Farmers Market featuring over 55 vendors.
Open on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Music in the Square runs on Saturdays from mid-May to mid-October, featuring local performers live on the market stage from 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.
The Community Engagement Series runs Mid-May to mid-October. Come learn about local groups and organizations in the Niagara Region in our Community Engagement Series. Located in our outside Farmers Market area each Saturday. Visitors have an opportunity to learn about culture and recreation within the community from drumming demonstrations by members of First Nations to spinning the wheel of fun with Brock.

The Lakeside Park Carousel is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Carousel is still 5 cents a ride or admission by donation.
