A holiday tradition of giving back continues for the City of St. Catharines.

Last fall, St. Catharines City Council authorized the sale of 320 Geneva St. to Penn Terra Group Limited, in an effort to redevelop surplus City lands into a blend of affordable, social and market housing.
This was to be the second large multiple-unit affordable housing building in the City, following Penn Terra's successful completion of 111 Church St. in 2020, which provided 127 new affordable units, and a first-of-its-kind project for the City of St. Catharines.

The nominees are in for the 2022 St. Catharines Arts Awards, set to celebrate the most talented and creative minds in the community at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre on Nov. 29.
In total, there are 20 nominees for awards in four categories: Established Artist, Emerging Artist, Arts in Education, and Making a Difference. One special patron will also be recognized with the Patron of the Arts award during the ceremony.

At the official opening, the City of St. Catharines announced a joint donation of $20,000 from Effort Trust and the Cullen family towards the community’s first public labyrinth.

City staff and Councillors were joined by members of the Old Glenridge Community Association (OGCA) and members of the Partridge and Miller families to celebrate the official opening of Partridge Park, recognize the park donors, and unveil a plaque honouring Bob Miller’s contributions to the community.
