The City of St. Catharines is taking steps to minimize any service disruptions during a possible strike of Canada Post workers.
Canada Post has warned a postal disruption may occur as early as Friday, Nov. 15, unless agreements are reached before then. The City has been meeting to try and minimize any disruptions and identify alternatives in the event of strike activity.

Due to a software upgrade, our Citizens First staff will be unable to process cash and debit payments in person at City Hall for some invoices on Friday, Nov. 15, including those for City service calls (such as blocked drains, water on / off, fire inspections, TV lateral inspections and more) or for items such as memorial benches and trees.
Payments for water bills and taxes can still be taken and processed in person.
