Mayor Mat Siscoe will be hosting a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Townhall meeting at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre on October 2nd, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Partridge Hall. This event is designed to amplify the voices of marginalized communities and offer a platform for individuals to share their perspectives and concerns directly with the Mayor.
Pre-registration is not required however, participants are expected to adhere to a code of conduct while at the venue. Register here.
Mayor's DEI Townhall Code of Conduct
1. Respectful Communication: Treat all participants, including fellow attendees, speakers, and organizers, with respect and courtesy. Interruptions of speakers will not be tolerated, and those who insist on interrupting will be asked to leave.
2. Time Management: Each speaker will have 5 minutes to share their thoughts. Please adhere to the time limits to ensure as many people as possible have an opportunity to speak.
3. No Disruptions: Disruptive behavior, including shouting, using offensive language, or personal attacks, will not be tolerated, and those who insist on disrupting will be asked to leave.
4. Follow Up: If you have further questions or concerns after the meeting, feel free to reach out to mayor@stcatharines.ca.

Is there a cost? No! The event is free and open to the public.
Do I have to be a resident of St. Catharines? The Townhall is open to all interested participants; however, its primary purpose is for St. Catharines residents to provide comments and ask questions that pertain to the City’s DEI Motion from April 2023.
Will the event be streamed or recorded? The event will not be available for virtual viewing. I hope to see you there!
Do I have to pre-register? Pre-registration is optional and can be completed here. There will be a check-in table at the event and attendees may check in upon arrival if they wish to receive a follow-up email after the event, which will allow them to provide feedback anonymously.
