You cannot use a private trainer, coach or independent instructor in City owned aquatic facilities unless you've rented the aquatic facility for the purpose of private lessons.
What are the capacity limits for the pool? |
Capacity levels will be reduced to ensure safe physical distancing and will be dependent upon the type of program, size of the pool and the number of available lifeguards. |
Is there a maximum swim time per visit? |
Yes. To ensure equitable access, swims and aquatics fitness segments are currently limited to 55 minutes. |
Do I need to make a reservation to go swimming? |
Yes, reservations are required for all swims. Please visit ActiveSTC to make a reservation. If you’re a resident of St. Catharines, you can make reservations starting at 9 a.m. two days before the scheduled swim. If you’re from elsewhere in the Niagara Region, you can book a reservation at 9 a.m. one day before the scheduled swim. I want to bring my infant swimming; do we all need to make a reservation? |
Yes, please include everyone who plans to swim in your reservation. |
I am accompanying an individual with a disability; do we all need to register? |
If you are accompanying as a support person, please reserve a spot for you and the individual you are supporting. |
How do I become a lifeguard? |
We offer lifeguard certifications and training through the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. Review our swimming lessons for more information. |
I lost a personal item at the pool. Can I get it back? |
We are not responsible for lost or stolen belongings. To protect the health and safety of all, we will not keep lost and found items such as towels, bathing suits or goggles. Please keep valuable personal belongings at home. |
My swim was cancelled or interrupted. Will I get my money back? |
If a swim class is cancelled or interrupted due to weather, mechanical or other issues, you will be issued a free pass. |
