The City of St. Catharines offers a property tax deferral program for eligible seniors and individuals with disabilities. The program allows individuals to defer tax increases for the current year. Your property taxes must increase by a minimum of $200 from the previous year.

Please complete the Tax Deferral Application. Make sure to include proof of eligibility with your application:

You can submit the completed application to Financial Management Services located at City Hall. Applications are due by February 28 of the following year.
You can submit your application in person to the Citizens First customer service desk, in the James Street drop box, or by mail to: PO Box 3012 |
