If you're moving an oversized or overweight vehicle, load, object, or structure that exceeds of the limits provided by the Highway Traffic Act in the City of St. Catharines, you must apply for a permit.
Applying for a permit
Please complete our Oversized/Overweight Permit Application and email the form to our Road Services Technician. Make sure to include a sketch outlining the vehicle dimensions and travel route. You must provide a minimum of $5 million liability insurance with the Corporation of the City of St. Catharines named as additional insured.
Please note
The permit is only valid for road sections that are under the jurisdiction of the City of St. Catharines. You must get permits from other authorities if their roads are impacted by your travel route including:
