The City of St. Catharines is conducting a study to determine the preferred road cross section to build on Ridley Road between Louth Street and Henrietta Street, south of Ridley College.
A virtual public information centre is currently underway.
Purpose
Ridley Road was reconstructed to anticipate additional work for the proposed GO Station Site upgrades and future residential development.
Study scope
Each alternative cross section was analyzed and evaluated based on the potential impacts to the natural, social, cultural and economic environments. The preferred road cross section was selected in consultation with the public, stakeholders and external agencies.
This project was planned with the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment process, detailed design and construction.
