Subscribe to this page for updates and follow our street cleaning activity on Twitter, where we share information such as neighbourhoods being worked on, road conditions, construction events, closures and other activity.
As per City by-laws, you must not place any debris, including leaves, on a public roadway. You should always collect leaves from your property and boulevard, and bag them for pickup by Niagara Region's leaf and yard waste collection services. We encourage you to regularly remove leaves and debris from ditches to avoid sewer culvert blockages and possible flooding. Contact us if a culvert near you has become blocked with debris.
Avoid parking vehicles on the street when cleaners are scheduled to be in your neighbourhood. When placing recycling and garbage curbside for collection, containers and bags should be placed on the boulevard, not on the road.
With clear roadways, our staff can perform thorough cleaning, curb to curb.
