Farmers Market Events

This community activation station highlights local farmers and provides the opportunity to learn about a seasonal produce item including its history, nutritional value and preparation ideas. Come savour what fresh picked tastes like as we feature our farmers and for our young patrons to make a fun craft.

Music in the Square runs every year, featuring local performers live on the Market stage from 10:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Community Engagement Series

Mid-May to mid-October

Come learn about local groups and organizations in the Niagara Region in our Community Engagement Series. Located in our outside Farmers Market area each Saturday. Visitors have an opportunity to learn about culture and recreation within the community from drumming demonstrations by members of First Nations to spinning the wheel of fun with Brock.

On Saturday, Dec. 14 and Dec. 21, the Market will feature a fun interactive holiday table. 

Our young market goers can join hostess Dena, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. to engage in making a craft. While at there, come and indulge in a cup of hot apple cider made from locally grown apples and festive cookie made at a local bakery. Don't forget to fill out a ballot to win a market bag filled with vendor products! Draws will take place at 1 p.m. on both the 14 and 21.

Looking for a spot to take a festive pic? The markets holiday selfie station returns starting Saturday, Nov. 30 to Dec. 28. It will be a 'fa la la' kind of day and bound to put you into the spirit of the holidays.

On Santa watch? As part of the City's annual Let It Glow holiday series, Santa will be visiting the market on Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for pics and holiday wish lists!
