Valleyview Park upgrades

Notice to Residents, Property Owners and Businesses

Project P22-165

Please be advised that the contract for the construction of the park upgrades at Valleyview Park has been awarded, and the successful Contractor, Stonecast Contracting Ltd. is tentatively scheduled to start work on Jan. 23, 2023. Construction will be ongoing through the winter and spring and to be completed by June 30th, with final restoration being completed in the timeline, weather permitting.

The proposed project includes:

Play structure replacement
Landscaping upgrades
Multi-use court reconstruction
Drainage improvements

This work is tentatively scheduled to start on Jan. 23, 2023, and in order to complete the new play structure safely and in a timely manner:

Section of the park within the construction limits will be closed off to pedestrian traffic for the duration of construction.

The contractor will coordinate to ensure emergency services has access to properties throughout construction. Please contact us if you have specific accessibility requirements or concerns .Every effort will be made to maintain access to abutting properties and to minimize inconvenience to businesses, residents and pedestrians. A construction inspector from the City will be present on-site during construction and can be contacted for information.
