The following City programs and facilities are impacted by the winter storm on Sunday, Feb. 16.
Recreation programs, including swimming lessons and public skating, as well as private bookings and rentals for today have been cancelled.
The following City facilities are closed to the public today as of 1 p.m.:
- St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
- St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
- Dunlop Drive Older Adult Centre
- Russell Avenue Community Centre
The following City facilities will be closing to the public today at 2 p.m.:
- Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre
- Bill Burgoyne Arena
- Merritton Arena
The Meridian Centre and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre are open with events running as scheduled.
Special event parking is in effect in the downtown today from noon to 3 p.m. Residents attending the Niagara Ice Dogs game, events at the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre, or other downtown activities this evening should park at the City parking lots and garages to keep routes clear for snow removal operations. There is no charge at City garages and surface parking lots after 3p.m. today and residents are encouraged to use these facilities to keep routes clear for snow removal.
