The City of St. Catharines and Niagara River Lions are teaming up to deliver a slam dunk for local youth groups and charities.
Registered charities, non-profit organizations and minor non-profit sports associations can once again apply for the Meridian Centre Community Use Program. The annual endeavour will see the City offering up 12 lower bowl tickets to River Lions games for the 2020 season at the Meridian Centre. The tickets can be used to bring youth to games, or for fundraising purposes such as raffle prizes.
“This program is really just a great way to support the community groups and organizations that do so much to enhance the lives of local youth,” said Community and Events Supervisor Brianne Wilson, explaining the partnership with the River Lions allows the City to provide life-long memories to the children who benefit from the program.
Applications can be made online between March 9 and April 3. Full information and applications are available at www.stcatharines.ca/CommunityUseProgram.
Staff will review all applications, with successful applicants assigned a game date and notified in writing once selections are completed.
