The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre is once again offering Fall Community Walks on Saturdays in October and November. For more information on which walks are being offered, check out the Museum’s events calendar.
The museum is hosting the Welland Canal Bicentennial Lecture Series, presented in partnership with the Thorold Museum, Welland Museum, and Port Colborne Marine and Historical Museum, this fall. This travelling lecture series explores the rich history of the canal and its communities as we mark the 200th anniversary of its sod turning.
Another family history workshop, scheduled for Nov. 16 and Nov. 23, is also back on the museum calendar this fall. This family history workshop offers participants the tips and tricks on how to care for their own family collections and stories in this two-day workshop. Pre-registration is required.
More information on the Community Walks, lecture series, family workshop and other events at the museum can be found at stcatharines.ca/MuseumCalendar.
At the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre, fall programming includes swimming lessons for all ages, leisure swims, lengths, a variety of aquatic fitness classes in both the leisure and lane pools. For more information, please visit stcatharines.ca/Swimming.
