Limited City programming resumes as St. Catharines enters Step 2 of pandemic recovery

Some City programs, such as outdoor recreation lessons, and modified swimming lessons will be reintroduced as the province moves into Step 2 of Ontario’s Roadmap to Reopen.

The City of St. Catharines continues to reopen facilities and reintroduce programs where possible under Provincial regulations while balancing safety, feasibility, and impacts to the community.

As the Province enters Step 2 on June 30 the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre will reopen, only for:

• Medical access for individuals requiring therapy; reservation is required
• Leadership courses; pre-registration required

At the same time Lion Dunc Schooley Pool will reopen June 30, as originally scheduled, for:

• Drop-in leisure swimming in the small pool
• Drop-in leisure swimming in the large pool
• Lengths swimming with reservation requirements

Starting July 5, the City will roll out further recreation and aquatics programming, including:

• Modified swimming lessons at Lion Dunc Schooley and Port Dalhousie Pools; pre-registration required
• Golf, tennis, and skateboarding lessons; pre-registration required
