The St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre is in the midst of renewing its five-year strategic plan and is looking for feedback from residents and patrons.
The new plan, which is being developed in consultation with TCI Management Consultants, will continue the work started in the 2015-2020 Strategic Plan. This Strategic Plan will work alongside the museum’s 2019 Interpretive Plan which was developed to guide the site’s exhibition gallery redevelopment and public spaces.
“This is an opportunity for everyone who has a relationship with the museum to express their opinions about what they have experienced, and what they’d like to see moving forward,” said Supervisor of Historical Services and Curator Kathleen Powell. “As a thank you, everyone who completes the survey and wishes to be entered into the draw will have the chance to win a brand-new iPad.”
The survey, which is available at engagestc.ca/museum, asks residents about how often they visit the museum and their reasons for doing so, their opinion on outreach programs, and what they see the role of museums in society as being. Participants are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible in their answers. Hearing from the community is an important part of ensuring the museum’s future planning meets the needs of local residents and visitors. To ensure the community’s voice is heard, the museum will continue to work collaboratively with residents, partners, and staff.
The winner of the iPad will be drawn at random from all the completed surveys who provide contact information. Full contest details can be found on the survey page on EngageSTC.
