The long weekend is here! Thankfully, St. Catharines residents can make the most of it with this guide to what's open and closed!
Garden City Golf Course
Garden City Golf Course will be open this Thanksgiving for bookings only. The City-run golf course will be open from 7 a.m. to dusk all weekend, including Monday. However, enhanced health and safety processes are in place, so visit www.stcatharines.ca/golf for more information and to book a tee time.
Community Centres
Russell Avenue Community Centre will be open for registered programs on Saturday only. Port Weller will be open on Saturday for drop-in Pickleball 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. on and registered programs. St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
The Aquatics Centre will be open regular hours on Saturday and Sunday (closed Monday). Register for a aquatics programs now! See all the information in the City of St. Catharines Leisure Guide at www.stcatharines.ca/leisureguide.
Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre
Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre will be open Saturday and Sunday (closed Monday) for public skating from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Occupancy limits are in place to ensure public safety, so guests must register ahead of time at www.stcatharines.ca/skating.
St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
The museum will be open all weekend, including Monday, at its regular operating hours (with closures for cleaning throughout the day). Call ahead to book your timed entry on 905.984.8880. Playgrounds
Playgrounds are open. However, before playing, parents should note that equipment isn’t sanitized. Visitors should wash hands before and after playing on the equipment; be sure to practice physical distancing; and stay home if anyone in their household is feeling sick. Trails

Rain Barrel Sale
Think green this long weekend! There’s still time to order your subsidized rain barrel for just $40. Rain Barrels must be purchased online ahead of the pick-up date of Oct. 17. See all the information at www.stcatharines/rainbarrel.
COVID-19 Assessment Centres
Just in case, it’s good to know St. Catharines and Niagara Falls COVID-19 Assessment Centres will be open for the long weekend, including Monday. The Welland Assessment Centre will not be open during the weekend. Visit www.niagarahealth.on.ca for more information.
Closures
The following City facilities will be closed on Monday, Oct. 12, 2020:

St. Catharines Transit will be operating on a holiday service schedule on Monday, Oct. 12. Transit returns to its regular schedule on Tuesday, Oct. 13. St. Catharines Transit’s administration office will also be closed Monday, Oct 12.
