City Hall and administration buildings, alongside several recreation facilities will be closed this Monday to mark the Labour Day holiday.
The following City facilities will be closed on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021:
Report fallen trees, park maintenance, road and sidewalk issues, blocked catch basins or sewer backups, by calling 905.688.5600, or to citizensfirst@stcatharines.ca. Report power outages to Alectra Utilities at 905.684.8111.

St. Catharines Farmers Market
Open Saturday, Sept. 4 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. with live music from Jessica Wilson, 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Come enjoy some tunes and check out what’s fresh from Niagara farmers. For more information visit stcatharines.ca/Market.
Lakeside Park Carousel
Take a spin on the Lakeside Park Carousel this weekend. The carousel is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Please note, that Monday will be the final weekday the carousel is in operation. Effective Tuesday, the carousel will only be open on weekends until the end of the season.
St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre
The museum is open all weekend long, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Current exhibits include Marking Time, an exploration of the way we create memories and mark time using the museum’s collection of textiles, photographs and artifacts; and Positive About Being Positive, celebrating over 30 years of HIV/AIDS advocacy by Positive Living Niagara. Outdoor pools and splash pads
While both Port Dalhousie and Lincoln Park Pools have closed for the season Lion Dunc Schooley remains open, this Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from noon to 7:15 p.m. For more information visit stcatharines.ca/OutdoorPools.
City splash pads will be open all weekend long, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre
Those hoping to take a dip can also head over to the St. Catharines Kiwanis Aquatics Centre. The centre is open Saturday and Sunday, from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; and Monday from 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visit stcatharines.ca/SKAC for more information and registration requirements.
Morningstar Mill
Morningstar Mill will be open Saturday, Sunday and Monday, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Masks are required, and capacities will be reduced to allow for physical distancing. Visit www.stcatharines.ca/morningstarmill for details. The grounds around the heritage buildings and the trail system adjacent to the mill, are also open for use. Hiking in off-trail areas, including watercourses, can pose serious risks and is not advised.
Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the animals, and the new playground, at Happy Rolph’s Animal Farm this weekend. The park itself is open seven days a week from dawn to dusk, with the farm animals available for viewing from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The park, which also includes a picnic area and trails along the shore of Lake Ontario, is located at 650 Read Rd.
