The City of St. Catharines has officially certified the candidates for the 2025 municipal by-election in Ward 6 – Port Dalhousie.
With the list of candidates finalized, eligible voters are encouraged to prepare for voting day by ensuring they are on the voters’ list and reviewing key election dates.
You are eligible to vote in the 2025 Ward 6 by-election if you are:
Advance voting days are Thursday, April 3 at Grantham Optimist Club from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 12 at St. John’s Anglican Church from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Voting day is on Monday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters should check their information on the voters’ list, particularly if they have moved or changed their name by contacting the Office of the City Clerk.
If you don’t receive a voter information card in the mail, you can be added to the list when voting in person but must provide proper identification showing a qualifying address.
If you cannot vote in person, you may appoint a trusted person as a voting proxy. The proxy must be a qualified elector and can only vote on behalf of one person unless they are an immediate family member. The Appointment of Voting Proxy (Form 3) must be completed and certified by the City Clerk. Uncertified, faxed, or photocopied forms will not be accepted at polling stations.
