The City is sharing information from the Ministry of Transportation Ontario and the contractors conducting the resurfacing work on the QEW and on and off-ramps in the City. Watch this page for updates as they become available. Please note that schedules posted are tentative and may change due to weather or other circumstances.
For the week of Nov. 10 to Nov. 14, the following work is scheduled and may result in intermittent closures or lane reductions:

Lane Closures on the QEW Toronto Bound and Fort Erie Bound
This notice is to inform residents that as of June 2024 the Eastbound (Fort Erie Bound) and Westbound (Toronto Bound) lanes on the QEW from Third Street to Niagara Street will undergo intermittent nightly lane and ramp closures, with no two adjacent ramps closed at the same time. The project includes the resurfacing of QEW mainline and ramps, as well as municipal roads and intersections. The following interchanges will be impacted by the intermittent nightly closures:

Project Overview:
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation is currently undertaking construction for resurfacing of the QEW. The project limits are located in the City of St. Catharines, Regional Municipality of Niagara. Construction is anticipated to start June 2024 and will continue until fall 2025.
