The Mayor's Office is pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative, townhallSTC, aimed at providing residents with a dedicated platform to voice their concerns, interact with the Mayor, and connect with their Ward Councillors.
The inaugural townhallSTC meeting is scheduled for November 13th from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Grantham Lion's Club. This event will allow residents to discuss specific issues affecting their community and collaborate with their local leaders.
Mayor Mat Siscoe explained the initiative’s goal, stating, "townhallSTC is designed to foster open communication and collaboration between residents and their local government." This initiative opens the doors for resident involvement in shaping the future of their Wards, ensuring that local voices are heard.
Deputy Mayor Bill Phillips added, "This initiative reflects our commitment to transparency and community engagement. We want to hear from residents directly and work together to address their concerns."
Grantham Ward Councillor Dawn Dodge also expressed her support, saying, "I encourage everyone to come out and share their thoughts. This is a valuable opportunity for residents to influence the issues that matter most to them."
Following the Grantham Ward meeting, subsequent townhallSTC sessions will be held in Port Dalhousie, St. Patrick's, Merritton, St. George's, and St. Andrews, facilitating engagement across the city.
Residents of Grantham Ward are encouraged to attend this important meeting to address their concerns, share insights, and work together towards enhancing the quality of life in their neighbourhood.
For more information or to pre-register, residents can go to www.stcatharines.ca/townhallstc. Pre-registration is optional; however, if you indicate that you would like to speak at the microphone when you register, you will be prioritized for speaking time.
All attendees are expected to follow a code of conduct to ensure a respectful and productive environment.
